Home again...

We're back from our trip to Chicago! We had a fun time hanging out with family and checking out the city.

While we were there I just couldn't resist picking up these handknit finger puppets from Ten Thousand Villages in Evanston.
Oh!... and last night I finished up the 'odd bird' that I started to crochet last week before we left. Thanks to all of the practice I've had making Ana's amis I was able to take a sketch from my sketchbook and turn it into a real toy! I can't believe I just picked up crochet a few weeks ago. What fun! Thanks for all of the advice and encouragement. I cannot believe October is already coming to a close! So many things to do and so little time!........

Haha, that bird is so cute. He's got a lovely Wallace & Gromit quality.

Wish I just got back from Chicago, it's my favorite city and I LOVE Evanston. Ohhh, Bookman's Alley.
